W.Va. DOT, VA plan erosion mitigation efforts at Donel C. Kinnard Cemetery
DUNBAR, W.Va. (WCHS) — Two state agencies are partnering for an erosion mitigation project at a Kanawha County veterans’ cemetery. The West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance and Division of Highways are working to protect burial sites at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, according to a news release from transportation officials.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - It’s another cool start to the day today, with many down in the lower 50s and upper 40s, but a full schedule of sunshine will have us jumping to the upper 80s this afternoon. The humidity stays low, so any breeze will help, but this is the kind of weather we’re going to see more and more of in the coming days. Highs will reach the 90s this weekend, with more of that to come next week. There won’t be many opportunities for rain either, so the drought conditions we’ve been experiencing are set to expand.
Woman pleads guilty in Charleston child neglect case
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Charleston woman pleaded guilty Thursday in a child neglect case where officers said they found two children with multiple injuries. Capree Moss, 22, pleaded guilty to one count of child neglect creating substantial risk of bodily injury in connection with the November 2023 case.
