Martha Postlewait chosen as Grand Marshal for Bement’s July 4th Parade
Long-time resident Martha Postlewait has been chosen by the Bement Community Council to serve as Grand Marshal in this year’s July 4th parade. Martha has always been an active member of the community belonging to many clubs and organizations. She has played the organ for the Bement Methodist Church for many decades. She was also in the choir that performed at Bement’s Sesquicentennial. She delivered peace meals to residents for 26 years.
4-H program invites kids to explore the great outdoors
June 24, 2024 –This summer, 4-H is offering a program to allow kids to explore summer outdoors. 4-H Passport to the outdoors runs from June 27-August 8. Kids ages 5 to 18 are welcome to attend any of the events; however, ages 5 to 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
