Wing eating contest registration to open for Wings and Wheels event at Decatur Airport
June 16, 2024 – Registration for the Wing eating contest at the Wings and Wheels event at the Decatur Airport will open Thursday at 10am. The Wing Eating contest is open for up to 48 contestants to compete in the preliminaries on Saturday. Heats will be held at 2pm, 3:30pm, 5pm and 6:30pm. The top two finishers from each heat will go on to complete in the finals on Sunday at 5pm. The body of a 6-year-old boy was recovered from the Kankakee River late Tuesday afternoon, hours after he fell into the river from a dock, according to officials.
