The Hammond-based South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority is calling for nominations for their R.O.S.E. and R.I.S.E. Awards.

The Recognition of Service Excellence awards honor front-line employees while the Recognition of Industry Success & Excellence awards honor managerial or past R.O.S.E. award recipients.

Both awards recognize individuals who serve customers daily and who create a positive impact and lasting impression on the experience a guest or visitor has in Northwest Indiana. Selected finalists will be presented with a rose at their workplace. Winners will receive a prize package valued at over $1,000.

Nominations are accepted online from customers and managers from regional businesses. In 2023, over 100 nominations were received. Seven R.O.S.E. winners and five R.I.S.E. winners were selected from the 40 finalists.

“I’m humbled to have received a R.O.S.E. Award. Winning this prestigious award gives me a sense of value at work,” said Teresa Krasinski, Horseshoe Casino senior executive assistant and charitable/community giving administrator, and 2023 R.O.S.E. Award winner, in a press release . “The South Shore CVA made my experience one that I will never forget.”

The 2024 awards dinner will take place Sept. 26 at the Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana.

The deadline to submit nominations is Aug. 1. Learn more about nominations here .
