A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for parts of the DMV region as wicked weather is expected to roll through the region, forecasters are cautioning. Following a sweltering day, the National Weather Service is advising that parts of DC, Maryland, and Virginia may be subject to storms that may bring whipping winds approaching 70 mph and ping pong-sized hail to some areas.

Man arrested in fatal Towson fire, charged with murder, arson
TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County police announced the arrest of a man in connection with a fatal fire in Towson. Dana Hunt, 43, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder and arson in connection with Monday's fire on Greenway Road that killed a man and injured a woman and three children. Hunt waived his bail review and remains held without bond.
