Little Miss Black US of A continues to inspire young girls with annual pageant
The Little Miss Black US of A pageant has returned to Maryland to inspire the next generation of young Black girls seeking to serve their communities. On July 26 to 27, the Hoff Theater, located on the campus of University of Maryland, will be full of poised young ladies and Black girl magic.

For history detectives who search around the Memorial Stadium site there are visible chunks of concrete, a brick or two and rebar west of third base. It’s a reminder of the Baltimore sports arena that served the Orioles, Colts and Ravens in a stretch of history that goes back to 1922.

Village of Cross Keys adds another restaurant, store
A Mexican restaurant will round out the food offerings available at the Village of Cross Keys. Sol Oaxaca, which has a spot in Bel Air, signed a lease to open in the North Baltimore retail center next spring, the center's developer Caves Valley Partners announced Wednesday. Ruxton Mercantile, a general store with upscale items, will also join the North Baltimore hub this fall.

CBP Recovers $130K in Stolen Luxury Cars at Baltimore Port (video)
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents recently intercepted two stolen high-end vehicles at the Port of Baltimore. The vehicles, a 2023 BMW X4 and a 2023 Jeep, were discovered inside a shipping container headed to Gambia. Both vehicles had been rented, the BMW from Atlanta, Georgia, and the Jeep from Montgomery County.

Meteorologist Alena Lee says we will see some rain and thunderstorms for the rest of Thursday as temps will remain cooler than normal in the mid 80's. The clouds will linger into Friday but it should remain dry through the weekend as temps will return to the high 80's. AL East-leading Baltimore (61-41) avoided getting swept in the three-game series against the NL-worst Marlins (37-66). “Great team win there, to end it in extra innings and squeak out a victory,” Mountcastle said. “We needed that one.” Anthony Santander hit his 28th homer, and Colton Cowser and Connor Norby also went deep against Roddery Muñoz as the Orioles built a 6-0 lead by the fourth inning.
