ROCHESTER — Services for Brig. Gen. John Pogorek were set to be held as the investigation into the accident that took his life is ongoing. Pogorek, who was commander of the New Hampshire Air National Guard Base at Pease, was struck by a vehicle on July 8, according to police. Pogorek had pulled over and got out of his pickup truck to re-secure a load on a trailer he was towing, when a Toyota RAV4 hit him on Crown Point Road in Rochester.

Police: Boston Man brandished axe while stealing juice and water
A Boston man is facing charges after allegedly brandishing an axe while stealing from a store in Charlestown, Wednesday. Alan Badgett, 33, was arrested after Boston police responded to Austin Street in Charlestown shortly after noon for a report of a threatening person with an axe. Police say Badgett allegedly took a juice bottle and multiple water bottles and told security he could take whatever he wanted before running away. Two officers arrived on Austin Street and were able to de-escalate the situation. Badgett was found with an axe on his person.

(WLNE) — United States Attorney Zachary Cunha said that an addiction treatment company and its owner pled guilty to health care fraud conspiracy,. 61-year-old Michael Brier, of Newton, Mass., and his company Recovery Connections Centers of America, Inc. were accused of failing to provide patients with required counseling sessions and treatment, while simultaneously billing Medicare, Medicaid, and other health care payors for 45-minute counseling sessions that only lasted 5 to 10 minutes or less.
