2 new tent platforms built for unhoused Yellowknife residents
Some people dealing with homelessness in Yellowknife now have a place to stay. A group of volunteers has been building tent platforms near the legislature. They started the project in late May, and after some changes, two families have now moved in. Sarah Krymalowski has more.

Georgetown Water Department Notifies Residents of Upcoming Service Interruption Due to Water Main Maintenance
GEORGETOWN – The Georgetown Water Department will need to create a service interruption next week due to necessary water main maintenance in Town. From Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, crews from J.P. Cardillo & Son Inc. will be in Town prepping for maintenance on the water mains at Central, Andover and West Main streets.
2 dead in listeria outbreak likely linked to sliced deli meats
Two people have died in a listeria outbreak across 12 states in the U.S. that is likely linked to sliced deli meats, according to the CDC. In total, 28 people have been infected and hospitalized with the disease as of Friday in an outbreak that began in May, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Historian Norra Cardillo is researching the Ladd and Gilman women of Exeter, New Hampshire, work she plans to present as part of her master’s portfolio when she graduates from Idaho State University next spring. A descendant of the Ladd and Gilman families, she visited the historic Ladd-Gilman House (1721) at the American Independence Museum (AIM) for the second time in March to continue her research.
