Hilton Head hosts Gullah Geechee Heritage Festival
HILTON HEAD, Sc. (WTOC) - Saturday, the Gullah Museum of Hilton Head Island hosted the Gullah Heritage Festival. The museum’s Heritage festival began late Saturday morning. Museum founder Louise Miller-Cohen said people were able to enjoy singing, storytelling and live music that celebrates the vibrant traditions of the Gullah culture.

Richland County shooting leaves two men wounded; victims say they were leaving a party
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say two men were wounded in an overnight shooting in Richland County. According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the victims arrived by private vehicle at an area hospital just before midnight. They told investigators they were shot while leaving a party in the area of S.C. 277 and Fontaine Road and that they were already on the highway at the time.

OTC EMT students gain real-world experience through mass casualty drill
Recently, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) students at Ogeechee Technical College (OTC) participated in a mass casualty drill designed to provide hands-on experience managing large-scale emergencies. The scenario involved a fictional tornado that resulted in numerous casualties at a nursing facility. This allowed the students to practice their triage skills in a controlled yet realistic environment. Georgia's Region 5 Trauma Education and Outreach Team designed the drill as a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Multiverse event.
