Georgia homicide suspect arrested after chase, officer involved shooting
SAVANNAH – A man in a Georgia homicide investigation was arrested after a short chase and an officer involved shooting. At the request of the Savannah Police Department, GBI agents are investigating an officer involved shooting in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. The incident happened near the entrance of Home Depot located at 1907 E. Victory Drive. Gregory Eugene Griffin, age 31, was injured. No officers were injured in this incident.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - With the toughest schedule in Georgia and the third toughest in the entire country, the Cadets are gearing up for a challenging 2024 season. “I literally wake up every other night, probably about 3:30, 4 o’clock in the morning and go ‘What did I do?’ because I’ve scheduled what is considered the number three toughest schedule in the country,” said Benedictine Military School football head coach Danny Britt. “But the kids are excited about it June was incredible. The kids just realizing if we ever weren’t doing things exactly right, we’d just stop and go ‘Have you seen our schedule?’ So we can’t have a bad day. Man dies in Aiken County house fire, says coroner
The Aiken County sheriff's and coroner's offices are investigating a fatal home fire. Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables said via news release that the fire was reported at about 7:13 p.m. Friday at a residence on the 500 block of John Nunn Highway in Salley, about 30 miles east of Aiken.
