Back to School Bash scheduled July 27 at Hampton High School

The Be Kind 17th Annual Back to School Bash will be held July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hampton High School.

The event is sponsored by area churches along with community volunteers, organizations, and businesses.

This year’s event is in honor of LD and Susie Berry and will feature free school supplies, food, activities, attractions, characters and more.

All items will be given on a first come, first serve basis. All children must be accompanied by an adult to attend.

Shannon Posada of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church and one of the organizers of the event said, “This year’s event is Be Kind. We would love for you to join us to show kindness to over 2,000 children and family members. We are collecting gently used clothes, shoes, new socks and new underwear for children. These items can be dropped off at Harmony Free Will Baptist on Gap Creek Road Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.”
