Tennessee baseball signee Arnold Abernathy passes on MLB Draft, will play for Vols
Baseball infielder Arnold Abernathy will forgo the remainder of the 2024 MLB Draft and remain on campus to play for UT, he told GoVols247 on Tuesday morning. Abernathy, an infielder from Acworth, Ga., is the fifth-highest ranked recruit in Tennessee's 2024 signing class that is ranked No. 1 by Perfect Game. Abernathy is ranked by PG as the No. 61 overall player in the country and the 16th-best shortstop. He's considered the No. 6 overall player in the state of Georgia and the third-best shortstop in the Peach State.

The downtown street mural on Nolichucky Avenue and Union Street is due to get spruced up with a new coat of paint.
