Proposed OSHA standards could hurt local fire departments
HIGH COUNTRY — Proposed updates to OSHA standards for fire departments and emergency services agencies could hurt local agencies. Sunflower Festival sees record-breaking crowd
The Mountain City Annual Sunflower Festival continued its trend of immense growth for another year. People from near and far spent the hot summer day enjoying local talent, shopping from the over 220 vendors, viewing the largest Deputy Allen Lipford Memorial Car Show to date, and enjoying the other provided attractions. This local event earned the Pinnacle Award Event of the Year and featured live sunflowers for the first time through a partnership with Doe Valley Farm. Community raises over $8,000 to keep coffee shop near UT campus in business
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — A community effort for a local coffee shop, Coffee Underground, raised over $8,000 in almost one week through a GoFundMe page.
