Impact Day: Scattered showers for the 4th
PITTSBURGH — A few light showers east of the city early this morning will exit with scattered showers today, mainly south of the city. We could see rain and storms redevelop this evening and still be around during fireworks, so it's not 100 percent we are dry, but rain will be very isolated late. Due to the rain chances today, Thursday is an Impact Day. Two rounds of rain and storms are likely Friday: one in the morning and one around dinnertime. The second round is the one that could produce strong to severe storms with damaging winds and localized flooding our primary concerns. Because of this threat, Friday has been upgraded to a Severe Weather Alert Day. Most of Thursday and Friday, however, will be dry.

While the tag team of Watt and Highsmith is one of the best in the league, if not the best, Watt is clearly the top...
