HPD searching for suspect wanted for armed robbery, abduction

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – The Hampton Police Division is asking the public for help in locating a wanted man believed to be armed with a knife.

According to officials, Malcoom Shearn is wanted on four counts of armed robbery, aggravated sexual battery, abduction and maiming. Police said Shearn has been known to contact women from various dating websites in an attempt to meet in Hampton, where he then allegedly commits the crimes listed above. Police say he frequents Hampton and Smithfield.

Police said they hope to “swiftly locate and apprehend him to prevent further interaction with him and anyone in our community.”
