Medic 4 outpost gets interior renovation

An open house was held Friday at the Yadkin County Medic 4 outpost, located at 4116 Old U.S. 421, Hamptonville, to officially unveil indoor renovations that were recently completed.

Paramedics stationed at Medic 4 work 24-hour shifts at the site so it is equipped with two small bedrooms, a kitchen, shower and washing machine and dryer.

“It’s their home every fourth day,” explained Yadkin EMS Assistant Director Chris Bolden.

The site has been used as the Medic station 4 since around 2006, said EMS Director Keith Vestal.

The updates to the building included new flooring as well as an updated living room.

Community leaders and EMS staff stopped by Friday during the open house to enjoy refreshments and see the updated building.
