HANCOCK COUNTY—On July 3, 2024, at 2:15 p.m., Hancock County 911 dispatchers received a call about shots fired on I-70 from a moving vehicle at a semi-tractor-trailer near the 101-mile marker. The information was immediately relayed to Indiana State Police Dispatchers. Two troopers in the area heard the initial dispatch from Hancock County and moved into position to intercept the suspect vehicle.
