Court docs: Hancock Co. man faces more than 220 charges for violating no-contact order
HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – A Hancock County man faces more than 220 charges after investigators say he violated a no-contact order. According to court documents, Bailey Calamity Matrix, 20, of Greenfield, was arrested in April in a domestic battery case. He was accused of beating up a woman on April 10. In that case, police responded to a Walmart store and found the victim bleeding and suffering from a bruised eye.

IU Health to lease 11 acres in Hancock County for Lifeline heliport operations
Indiana University Health is nearing a deal with the Indianapolis Airport Authority to develop a new LifeLine helicopter transport headquarters near Greenfield. The hospital network has agreed to lease 11.4 acres at the Indianapolis Regional Airport in Hancock County from the airport authority, according to an agenda filed ahead of the agency’s Friday board meeting. The initial 30-year lease term would begin the sooner of either Oct. 1, 2025, or sixty days after IU Health completes construction of its heliport facilities. The agreement also has four renewal options of five years each.

A Hancock County Commissioner is currently being held at a local jail, awaiting extradition to Las Vegas. He faces charges of sexual assault in Nevada. John D. Jessup, 49, was apprehended last week and is currently being detained in the Shelby County Jail for an offense committed in a different jurisdiction. HANCOCK COUNTY — A Greenfield man who was arrested by county officials for domestic battery charges in early April is now facing another issue. Officials with the Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office have opened a new case against the man and charged him with over 220 invasion of privacy crimes and felony obstruction of justice charges.
