Pet of the Week - Chips
Calling all diva cat lovers! You know those sweet, serene senior cats that are just content with any love and affection you have to offer? Well, Chips is not that gal. Chips is 11 years young and you better be prepared to adjust your life to her every whim and desire. Chips can be a little hot and cold when it comes to her desires… “Pet me - ugh, why on earth would you pet me?”, “Give me attention - no, not that way!”. You just need to accept the fact that you will never be in the right; that title is reserved for Miss Chip Dip. When you’ve taken the time to earn her respect, she will allow you the absolute honor and privilege of being her best friend. She will follow you around, and ring her butler bell (meow) for your attention. To absolutely no one’s surprise, Chips will not tolerate any other animals in the home. Chips is a smidge overweight and is eating a special wet food diet to help get her to a comfier weight. She argued that she was storing up for winter, however, we were finally able to reassure her that she would be just fine. Our sweet diva queen also has a history of constipation, so she gets a scoop of Miralax in her food daily. We would supply her adopter with a nice stockpile of her special food and Miralax to get them started! Behind her sassy attitude is a loving, beautiful companion who just wants your time and love. If you believe Chips could tolerate you, please submit an adoption application on our website and come by the shelter to meet her Tuesday-Saturday from 12 to 4. She’ll be the one in the lobby cage meow-yodeling at everyone!
