Historical Society Presents Post Cane to Martha Smith
The Hudson Historical Society presented Hudson’s eldest citizen with the Boston Post Cane during a ceremony held at the Hills House on Sunday, July 7. Martha Smith, a Hudson resident since her birth on Nov. 30, 1924, was the eleventh recipient of the cane in town. The previous holder of the prestigious award was Doris Widebeck, who passed in April of 2024 at 105 years of age.

Conway, NH – A fatal crash on East Main Street in Conway has left one dead and another injured. According to the Conway Police Department, officers responded to a collision involving a 2022 Peterbilt Tractor and a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck around 3:57 p.m. on Friday. The vehicles caught fire after the crash, resulting in the death of the pickup truck driver, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
