HANFORD, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Hanford’s farmers market, Thursday Night Market Place, has been canceled once again due to the heat, according to a social media post on the event’s Facebook .

Event organizers say although the heat wave has been brutal, they hope to see everyone next week for the ‘Navy Appreciation Night’.

Those who bring their military IDs can get half off on beers from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m., according to event officials.

Officials say events are only canceled if the forecasted temperature is 106° or higher.

The farmers market event put on by Main Street Hanford, takes place in downtown Hanford every Thursday from May 6 through October 7, from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
