HANFORD, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Officers with the Hanford Police Department say they found two people shot dead inside a Hanford home, after receiving a disturbance call Sunday morning.

Hanford Police believe the disturbance to be a double homicide.

The incident occurred on the 400 block of East Magnolia Street, near George Washington Elementary School.

“When officers arrived on scene, they located the front door unlocked. They went inside and located two deceased individuals, one male and one female inside the residence,” Lt. Justin Vallin with Hanford Police Department said.

Lt. Vallin says police are unsure of who the caller was, and the investigation is in its early stages.

“We believe that they are the residents of the home, and we’ll be able to get some further information here probably in the next day or two,” Lt. Vallin said.

Neighbors, appearing visibly upset, described the man and woman as friendly.

Lt. Vallin says there are currently no suspects.

Police say there is no threat to the public at this time and if you have any information contact the Hanford Police Department.
