Iowa State Fair Saying Goodbye to Popular Fair Stand
Iowa has one of the best state fairs in the country as thousands of people from around the state plan a state fair trip. Some people plan to enjoy the fair for an afternoon and others plan to enjoy the fair for multiple days in a row. New little library opens outside courthouse
The Freeborn County courthouse has welcomed its very own little library. The library has been a three-year journey involving three summer interns, Katey Witt, Anika Hansen and Evan Melby, having started in 2022 with Witt, who wanted to make a free library to have near an outdoor bench. Four escape vehicle fire that closed roadway in Coralville
CORALVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - Four people were able to safely get out of a vehicle that caught fire, temporarily closing a roadway in Coralville on Thursday morning. Teacher Killed in Lawnmower Accident
A Don Bosco teacher has died in a tragic lawnmower incident near Jesup. Jake Knepper was attempting to load a commercial grade lawnmower onto a trailer shortly before 1:00 p.m. Thursday when it tipped off the side of the trailer, rolled down and pinned Knepper underneath. Firefighters removed the mower and attempted life saving measures but Knepper was pronounced dead at the scene. A student vigil will be held inside the Don Bosco gymnasium after morning Mass Friday morning and a staff support circle and prayer vigil will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. A community prayer vigil will be held at a later date. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
