Following the heavy rain brought by the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby, Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro proclaimed a general disaster emergency for 21 counties on Friday, including Adams.

The declaration allows the 21 counties to receive additional state funding to assist with the recovery from the flooding brought on by the storms, as well as activate Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) resources.

Around $2 million will be distributed to the counties affected to assist with the recovery, according to the proclamation. Any unused funds from this amount will return to the state's general fund.
