Officials are seeking the public's assistance, and offering a reward, after artifacts went missing from the Gettysburg National Military Park, according to a news release.

The artifacts were taken from the area of the Timbers farm, near Brooke Avenue on the southern end of the battlefield, the release said. Police and park officials are conducting an active investigation into the disappearance.

The release requests that anyone who was in the area of the Timbers farm between December 2023 and January 2024 to contact the Adams County Crimestoppers hotline.

A reward is being offered for the safe return of the artifacts, according to the release.

"You don’t have to tell us who you are, but please tell us what you know," the release said.

The release did not share what the missing artifacts were, or when the park was first made aware of their removal.

Anyone with any information regarding the missing artifacts is recommended to contact the Adams County Crimestoppers hotline at 717-334-8057.

Tips can also be submitted to accrimestoppers.com or through emailing the park at GETT_Superintendent@nps.gov.
