Hanover landlords will have to register their properties with the borough in the coming months, thanks to a new ordinance passed by the borough council.
The ordinance is the latest in a tumultuous effort to get a handle on the borough's rental properties, coming just two months after the council failed to overturn the mayor's veto of a passed rental registry and inspection ordinance.
As a compromise, upon revisiting the failed ordinance, it was split into two ordinances, a rental registry ordinance, and a rental inspection ordinance.
