    Victim airlifted after being struck by vehicle in Conewago Township

    Update: Coroner identifies man killed after being struck by his own vehicle in Conewago Township

    A patient was airlifted by a medical helicopter after being struck by a vehicle in Adams County, officials confirmed.

    Emergency crews were called to the scene of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on a property located on the 3500 block of Centennial Road in Conewago Township around 1:33 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, according to Adams County 911 records.

    Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services Captain John Myers confirmed that the fire department had set up a landing zone to airlift one adult patient who had been struck by a vehicle to a local trauma center.

    The helicopter landed in a small field in front of the Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services fire station, located in the 5800 block of Hanover Road.

    Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services was assisted on the scene by Community Life Team EMS and STAT MedEvac.
