Mini-golf is returning to Gettysburg, thanks to a new upcoming minigolf course in the borough.

Named Lincoln Links, the new family-friendly attraction will feature 18 holes on its course, which will be located at 533 Steinwehr Ave. in Gettysburg. The site, which once held restaurants several years ago, has been an empty grass lot.

The attraction is now under construction, having gotten final approvals in August, and is expected to open in spring 2025, said owner Nathan Mares.

A moment of Zen: a visit from one of my favorites!

I know I'm not the only one to have a special connection with cardinals, but it always makes me smile when one stops by.

My grandfather in England was an avid birdwatcher for most of his life, and shortly after he passed, my dad told me about how he had heard that if a cardinal visits you, it's a visit from a lost loved one.

That meant a lot to me, and actually led me to get my first tattoo several years ago in his memory, a red cardinal on my right shoulder.

It all just makes it even more special anytime I can catch a picture of one!
