A two-month detour is expected for a roadway in northern Adams County while crews replace a box culvert, PennDOT said in a release.

The work is planned for a box culvert on Wiermans Mill Road, Route 1009, that spans an unnamed tributary of Bermudian Creek between Old Harrisburg Road and Gun Club Road in Huntingdon Township, the release said.

The project, and detour, is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, weather permitting, and is expected to last until Dec. 1 2024.

The best thing I ate: a caprese sub!

This one is a bit of a drive, but DiPasquale's in Baltimore is always fantastic.

This was their caprese sub, with homemade mozzarella, olive oil, fresh basil and tomato. It was super delicious! I've always been a big fan of caprese salads and sandwiches, you can't beat fresh mozzarella and tomato.

If you find yourself down that way, definitely give their deli and market a try.
