Police shared that "extensive damage" occurred to the playing surfaces of New Oxford's high school soccer fields after two vehicles drove on them in early October.

Late on Wednesday afternoon, Eastern Adams Regional Police had asked the public for help in identifying two pickup trucks that were captured on camera driving onto the fields. The incident had occurred on Sunday evening, Oct. 6, 2024, with a timestamp on the images showing around 5:42 p.m. that evening.

"With the assistance of CVSD School Resource Officers, we were able to obtain video showing two vehicles entering and exiting the property, then driving on these fields," the post said, identifying the location as the New Oxford High School on Berlin Road in New Oxford.

The trucks were reported to have driven "recklessly through the fields, causing substantial damage to the fields," police said.

"As a result of these actions, extensive damage was done to the property and playing surfaces of the fields."

Within five hours of the post, the department had identified both of the vehicles, according to an update provided by the department around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

While the vehicles were identified, anyone with additional information on the incident was asked to contact the department by email at tmulder@earpd.org or by calling 717-624-1614 ext. 206.
