A teenager suffered minor injuries when he was robbed and assaulted in Hanover early Tuesday morning, borough police say.

The strong-arm robbery occurred around 12:53 a.m. in the 100 block of Moul Avenue, a news release states.

Police say the 15-year-old was approached by a male to engage in a sales transaction. He then attacked the teen and took the juvenile's money, cell phone and drug paraphernalia, the release states.

The teen was able to escape from the attacker, police said.

Police say the suspect is about 5-feet, 10-inches tall with short blond hair and a slender build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with an unknown logo, the release states.

Anyone with information may contact the borough police department at (717) 637-5575 or through York County 911.
