NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans officials said they are putting their safety plans into motion ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl and Carnival season. New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick spoke during Thursday's Mardi Gras Advisory Committee meeting. She said that having the Super Bowl and Mardi Gras back to back is a huge undertaking, but they will call on agencies like Louisiana State Police to ensure they are controlling the crowds and keeping people safe.
