Oregon wildfire spotted near Blue River east of Eugene
A wildfire broke out Tuesday afternoon off state route 126 in the Cascade Range, sending a plume of smoke above the evergreens amid high temperatures and red flag warnings across western Oregon. Smoke was reported just after 1 p.m. north of Blue River Reservoir, about 50 miles east of Eugene.

Trees split, community comes together: Mobile home park neighbors rally after damage from high winds
EAGLE POINT, Ore — Community members of Butte Crest mobile home park rallied together to save homes and cars after high winds led to tree damage. A resident at the mobile home park, Connie Fuller, said that there “must have been angels” because her home and car were close to being directly hit by a tree. The main trunk missed her car by only six inches.
