HARBOR SPRINGS — The Wiener Dog Races returned to Harbor Springs on July 3, with puppies and senior dogs alike moving their quickest to the finish line.

Separated by age division, including puppies, ages 2-9 and seniors, the races featured dogs running on a short course at Jean Jardine Park.

A crowd surrounded the small racetrack, watching dogs race from one person's hands and into the arms of another at the far end of the course. The dogs could be lured to the finish line with toys, treats and promises of unconditional love, but nothing could be thrown for them to chase.

Siggy took home the top honor for the second year in a row during Wednesday's race.
