HARBOR SPRINGS — A feeling of bliss is coming over the region, with the three-day Blissfest music festival returning to Northern Michigan this weekend.

“We are thrilled to bring you this lineup of artists for a weekend in beautiful Northern Michigan," artistic director Caroline Barlow said on the festival's website. "We consider ourselves a true discovery festival; to do that, we must mine talent through the state of Michigan, across the country and around the globe. What has turned up this year are some true gems! All the artists we present are real masters of their craft, even if their names might be new to you. We can’t wait for you to be ‘wowed’ by all the talent to be found in three short days across 10 performance areas.”

Hosted on a 200-acre farm, the festival brings in folk musicians and performers from around the world. From July 12-14, people will be able to enjoy the festival, which features 10 performance areas, more than 80 acts, a silent disco, workshops, craft and food vendors and more.

Vendors on site will include everything from clothing to pottery to instruments, while more than 15 food vendors will also be in attendance to keep guests well fed.

Even the healing arts are represented, with massage booths, tarot card readings, yoga classes and more available during the festival.

As for music, Friday, Saturday and Sunday schedules are booked from morning to night with performances. Headliners for 2024 include The Wood Brothers and Sarah Jarosz. Donna the Buffalo, John Craigie, Amythyst Kiah, Vieux Farka Touré and many others are also in the lineup.

Ticket options include a day pass or a full weekend camping pass. Throughout the weekend, people are able to camp on site at the Festival Farm and Blissfest Campground at 3695 Division Road near Harbor Springs.
