Eastsiders, brush your sweet tooth. Art's Bakery's long-awaited second location is ready to open Wednesday at 4625 Buffalo Road.

"They used to have a location at the Urbaniaks store," said Art's co-owner Todd Sutton. "But it felt like it was still too far for North East and Harborcreek people. We thought this was the best location to reach the city and the North East people."

Sutton said Jason Hunt, a 23-year employee of the original location at 4380 West Ridge Road, will operate the new location, which is next door to Advance Auto, located east of the former Kmart Plaza.

Sutton and his wife, Cori Sutton, purchased the original Art's location in March 2023.

Todd Sutton said the new store, which is in a new building, will have the same products — cakes, cookies, pies and more — and be set up the same way as the West Ridge Road location. He has about 2,600 square feet to work with, and will employ 20 to 25 people, some part-time and others full-time.

He also said the new location will feature grape pies, which are in high demand from North East customers. The hours will be Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 8 p,m.; and Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit artsbakeryerie.com or call the new store at 814-315-0645.
