Thomas Abraham Crider, 69
Thomas Abraham Crider, 69, passed away on July 11, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah in Kentucky. He was born to William Ervin Crider and Virginia Louise Crider in Rosiclare, IL on November 15, 1954. He was a lifelong resident of Hardin County, leaving only when he joined the United States Army in 1973, where he served for three years before returning. On September 30, 1977, he married the love of his life, Connie Marie Griffith, and they settled in Rosiclare, IL.
E’town woman found dead after fire consumes home
A Monday night blaze has claimed the life of an Elizabethtown woman. The woman, identified by Hardin County Coroner Pat Elmore as Brenda “Barbara” Stewart, 75, was discovered inside the home. Her cause of death is undetermined pending results of an autopsy.

Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest
A traffic stop, near Joe Prather Highway and Vineland Park Place in Vine Grove Monday afternoon, resulted in an arrest and drug bust. Pursuant to a joint narcotics investigation, conducted by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police DESI West, the suspect and operator of the vehicle, 49 year-old Michael R. Hardy of Louisville, was placed under arrest for an active warrant issued out of Pulaski County, Kentucky.
