Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 7, 2024, multiple Missoula Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Montana Street. It was reported that two individuals had been seen entering an unoccupied house by squeezing into a basement window. When officers arrived, they observed a window had been covered by chicken wire and that the chicken wire had been removed.

CASPER, Wyo. — A Virginia man was charged with numerous offenses in Yellowstone National Park last weekend. According to federal court records, Alan Bowling, born in 1967, pleaded not guilty in federal court in Mammoth on Monday and will appear in federal court in Cheyenne on Tuesday. He is charged with theft of a tow truck, drunk driving, property destruction and a handful of other misdemeanors, collectively punishable by up to four and a half years in prison.
Grizzly Bears Translocated to Enhance Genetic Diversity in Yellowstone Population
In an ongoing effort to support the genetic health of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) grizzly bear population, two young grizzly bears were recently translocated from the Northern Continental Divide Ecosystem (NCDE) in northwest Montana. This initiative, coordinated by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) in collaboration with the Wyoming Game & Fish Department and the National Park Service, aims to introduce new genetic material to the isolated GYE grizzly population.
