Glen Gondo, a prominent figure in Houston's culinary and cultural landscape, has passed away at the age of 75 following a battle with cancer. Man charged in deadly shooting outside southwest Houston taco truck, records show
A man has been arrested for his alleged role in the shooting death of a man outside of a southwest Houston taco truck, according to records.Rontreyvius Wooten has been charged with murder for the July 3 shooting off Richmond Avenue near Dunvale Road.SEE ALSO: Residents concerned after homicide at SW Houston taco truck: 'Area is going in a negative way'Houston police officers were called to the scene after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Surveillance video obtained by ABC13 shows a white car driving into the parking lot off of Richmond just before the shooting; the car stops, and someone gets out and starts firing shots at the victim.Records show Wooten was arrested a couple of hours later at about 4:51 a.m.The motive, as well as his relationship with the victim, is not known.Wooten is in jail on a $1 million bond.
Deputy shoots suspect inside gas station in north Harris County, sheriff's office says
An investigation is underway after a suspect was shot by a Harris County deputy on Thursday, according to the sheriff's office.Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted about the shooting at about 3:10 p.m. on X, formerly known as Twitter.Gonzalez said deputies were responding to a disturbance call outside of a gas station on FM 1960 near Ella Boulevard when a deputy opened fire, hitting a 47-year-old man.The Harris County Sheriff's Office said the suspect is accused of pointing a weapon at random people.Asst. Investigation Launched After Man Found Dead Outside The Woodlands Mall
An unsettling discovery was made outside of The Woodlands Mall yesterday, prompting an investigation by local law enforcement. Authorities were alerted to the scene at around 9 a.m. following a welfare check call, where they found an unresponsive man. Deputies and U.S. Marshals arrest wanted felon for breaking into ex-girlfriend's home
HOUSTON, Texas — A wanted felon was arrested after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulting her, authorities said. Deputies with Constable Jerry Garcia's Special Operations Unit and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offenders Task Force executed several felony arrest warrants for 32-year-old Robert Trevino for violation of a protective order and burglary of habitation with intent to commit assault. These warrants were filed after Trevino forced himself inside the home of his ex-girlfriend and assaulted her, according to a press release from the department.
