REVA, S.D. — A Sturgis man has been named as the victim of a fatal Sunday crash in Harding County. According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, just before 9 a.m., Miles R. Reed, 75 was driving a 2015 Ford F350 south near mile marker 230 on SD Highway 79. For an unknown reason, the vehicle crossed the center line, entered the east ditch, struck a field approach and rolled. Reed was ejected and passed away from his injuries.

A 75-year-old man died Sunday morning from injuries in a single vehicle crash 30 miles north of Reva, SD. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a large pickup truck was traveling south near mile marker 230 in SD Highway 79 around 9am. For an unknown reason, the vehicle crossed the center line, entered the east ditch, struck a field approach and rolled. The driver was ejected and died from his injuries.
Bridge work scheduled on Hwy. 85, 75 in Harding and Perkins counties
Beginning on Monday, July 8, bridge deck chip sealing projects are scheduled to start over the South Fork Grand River on U.S. Highway 85 south of Buffalo. After completion, the contractor will move to the bridge over the North Fork Grand River on S.D. Highway 75. The contractor will then complete a bridge deck chip seal over the South Fork Grand River on Highway 75.
