Springfield to open cooling centers as temperatures reach 90s
SPRINGFIELD — The city opened cooling centers on Thursday and expects to keep them open through at least Friday due to predicted high heat and humidity. “Heat stress is a serious condition that poses a health threat to many people, particularly the elderly.
