Some 600 reenactors from across the region portraying both soldiers and civilians from the Revolutionary War era will be taking part in "Redcoats and Rebels" set for Aug. 3 and 4 at Old Sturbridge Village. Guests from the 21st century will have the chance to witness reenactments of historic battles and skirmishes between Colonial and British troops, complete with cannon and musket demonstrations and cavalry displays. Visitors can explore authentic Revolutionary War camps and engage with costumed historians to learn about everyday life in early New England. Worcester, Mass. (WFXT) - A Little League umpire from Massachusetts says a player’s mother saved his life after he was hit in the throat by a foul ball in a freak accident. As a Little League umpire, Korey Pontbriand is used to calling strikes from behind the plate, not throwing them, but he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Worcester Red Sox game Tuesday night.
