Vt. festival a celebration of diversity through soccer
MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - The World Soccer Festival is coming to Montpelier this weekend. The celebration of diversity through soccer began in 2010 when a Hyde Park Elementary PE teacher organized an event to celebrate the diversity of soccer and bring people together. After over 12 years of hosting, the organizers are handing it over to a new group of soccer parents, coaches, and referees for the event at Montpelier High School on Saturday. Spectators are encouraged to come out and enjoy the fun from 9 to 2.
