Livingston Police Announce Arrests in July Incidents of Shoplifting, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and More
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Two 28-year-old males were arrested earlier this week in separate shoplifting incidents at Nordstrom Rack, located at 530 W Mt. Pleasant Avenue in Livingston, according to Livingston police. At approximately 3 p.m. on July 12, Livingston officers responded to the department store, where Ibnrashad Muhammad, 28, of Maplewood, was being detained by store loss prevention for shoplifting approximately $200 worth of merchandise. Muhammad was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. He was charged with shoplifting and released on a summons with a returnable court date at the Livingston Municipal Court.CLICK HERE...

DENVILLE, NJ - The Indian Lake Community Club in Denville has selected its royal couple for the 2024 calendar year. The tradition of choosing a king and queen dates back to 1927. Club members vote for a royal couple every summer, typically high school seniors. This year’s royal couple are seniors Hogan Hyatt and Bridget Rynkiewicz. EAST HANOVER — Another infant has died after being left in a car in New Jersey. Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said East Hanover Police were called after a 6- month-old girl was noticed inside a vehicle parked in a parking lot on South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 in East Hanover around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. Sparta Board of Education Amends Attendance Policy
SPARTA, NJ – The board of education is moving to update the attendance policy to reflect recent changes in state statute. Policy 5200 “Attendance" is being amended to change the definition of an “excused absence.” The student must provide a “doctor’s note” or one from the dentist, proving there was an appointment for the absence to be excused.
