Guthrie Lourdes Day of Wellness: A Community Health Fair
On Wednesday, July 31st, the Guthrie Lourdes Day of Wellness will bring together a variety of health and wellness resources to the First Presbyterian Church Health Fair, located at 2 Main Street in Johnson City. Among the highlights of the event will be the Guthrie Lourdes Mammo on the Move, a mobile mammography unit that provides vital screening services to women in the community, from 10am to 4pm.
Pizza in the Park at Floral Park Friday Night
County residents can get to know the first responders in their communities and enjoy some pizza at the same time Friday night. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., residents can meet members of the county's District Attorney's Office, the Johnson City Police Department and the Broome County Sheriff's Office at Floral Avenue Park in Johnson City. Free pizza and complementary youth bike helmets will be available.

Section of Jarvis Street to be Closed for Several Months Beginning July 29th
A rehabilitation project on Jarvis Street will have a portion of the street shut down for several months, beginning Monday. According to the mayor's office, the project is the rehabilitation of the Jarvis Street railroad bridge. The section of Jarvis Street that will be closed to traffic will be between Charlotte Street and Clinton Street. Detours will be in place.
