Collaborative Effort Leads to Major Drug Bust on Main Street, Binghamton
In a successful operation on Friday, July 19th, 2024, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 194 Main Street, Apartment 4, in Binghamton. The operation led to the discovery and seizure of a significant amount of illegal substances and a loaded firearm.

The petition for the ousting of the board members was presented by district Attorney Harold A. Scragg upon the recommendations of the members of the grand jury.

Deposit Man Sentenced on Child Porn Possession Charge
A Deposit man has been sentenced after previously admitting to possessing child pornography. In April, Dimitri Escrich pleaded guilty to Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child and admitted to knowingly possessing a video depicting a female child less than 16 years old performing a sexual act. As a result of his guilty plea back in the spring, Escrich was sentenced to 10 years of felony probation supervision, with sex offender terms and conditions. He was also ordered to pay fines and surcharges of $1,425.
