(Harlan, IA) – A berth in the baseball state tournament is on the line as the Titans of Lewis Central visit the Harlan Cyclones in the 3A Substate Final. Coverage on 95.7 KSOM and westerniowatoday.com. Harlan beat Carroll 11-3 and Creston 9-1 in the first 2 rounds of the substate tournament while Lewis Central blew out Glenwood 13-1 and last night upset #1 seed Bondurant-Farrar 5-4 in 11 innings. The game was played last night after getting rained out on Monday. Despite the late night, Harlan Baseball Head Coach Heath Stein knows the Titans will be ready to go tonight.

Lewis Central ace Aaron Kreps is 7-0 with a 1.18 ERA and beat Harlan 16-1 back on June 18. The Cyclones won on their home field 3-2 on May 29. Stein says his offense will be ready for Kreps and his arm.

Harlan will go with Braydon Ernst (7-3, 2.00) as their starting pitcher. Stein says it will be the little things that will mean a lot for Harlan to go to state.

Lewis Central (23-12) @ Harlan (26-8). Game time tonight is 7:00 pm, coverage at 6:40 on 95.7 KSOM and westerniowatoday.com.
