Power transformer manufacturer to open new plant in Ohio, creating 230 jobs
Westrafo has announced plans to open a U.S. facility in Trotwood, Ohio. The company, which produces integrated solutions for the energy industry, will use the new 231,000-square-foot plant to manufacture medium voltage transformers, allowing Westrafo to provide energy solutions for the U.S. market. According to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Westrafo will create 230 new jobs for the surrounding area. The project is expected to be completed in 2025, and by 2027, the facility will feature a production output of 12 GW per year.
