Kentucky Man Facing Multiple Charges for Incidents Thursday in Carmi
CARMI – A Greenville, KY man is facing multiple charges following an incident at Bradshaw Park and at the White County Jail in Carmi Thursday morning. Carmi Police say 61-year-old Troy Lynn Mercer was charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearms/Firearm Ammunition, Aggravated Battery of a Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct. He was taken to the White County Jail. No bail was set.

The FBI searched the Indianapolis home of a former congressional candidate with Evansville ties on Wednesday, though it's unclear why. The agency confirmed to IndyStar that it executed a search warrant at a house where public records show Gabe Whitley lives — news first reported by IndyPolitics. Four teams participate in joint practice at Central High School
