HARPURSVILLE, NY, (WIVT/WBHG) – Animal lovers from all around the world come together at Animal Adventure Park for their 7th annual trip.

In 2017, April the Giraffe at Animal Adventure Park went viral, as fans across the globe were watching her via live streams and webcams. The AAP Chatters have formed this bond because of April, however it’s become much more than that. The group starting eight years ago has now exceeded 10,000 members on Facebook.

Every year the Chatters pick a week every year to come and visit the park and enjoy a few days of activities.

“You get to interact with the babies, and you see all the new life, and you follow the Facebook page for the Animal Adventure Park, and you see all the birds. And you know the animals are happy. You see it when you come here to visit, you feel it,” AAP Chatters admin Von Miller-Hays said.

The Chatters met up Wednesday night for a meet and greet, and will be joined by Owner of Animal Adventure park, Jordan Patch at the Holiday Inn Hotel tonight for a question and answer session.

“To look around and see the community, that has continued to rally around, what was one giraffe with a little camera, watching and waiting for her to give birth, that has blossomed into a 7 year journey and adventure for most of you still gathering, still coming around the park, still supporting the park, and sharing stories and developing friendships. It’s absolutely amazing,” Patch said.

On Friday, July 12, they will cap off their trip with a Pajama party including a deejay and karaoke.

The AAP Chatters look forward to many more future trips to Animal Adventure Park and will continue to show their support and love for the animals that reside there.
